Touring Manzanillo

We hired Hernando, a taxi driver for the day to show us the area. Manzanillo is a large commercial port with a population of 160,000. It has a big sport fishing industry and has been called the ‘Sailfish Capital of the World’.

Hernando took us to an ‘iguana park’ which has many iguanas along with racoons and badgers.

There is an ‘old town’ area and a big plaza with a 30 meter tall sculpture of a sailfish at the cruise ship dock.

After a tour of the city and a big lunch, Rob and Taya left for the airport and we returned to Calista to continue our adventures. It was great having them on board and we hope more guests will visit.
